12:37 pm EDT... S&P MAINTAINS HOLD OPINION ON

SHARES OF AT&T INC. (T 39.61***): T announces it has

recently surpassed the 100,000 customer mark for its

fiber-based Uverse TV services, which we think supports our

view that the telco is gaining traction with new services, with

the addition of more than 50,000 video customers in Q3.

However, given the still-limited deployment, we do not expect

Uverse to have a meaningful impact on the stability of T's

access line base, which is being lured by a triple play of

cable services in '07. We believe T's EPS growth will be

driven by wireless gains and cost-reduction opportunities
